Nancy Summitt: Instrumental Music, 7/8 Vocal Music, 1st - 4th grade music, 5/6 band
Hi, I'm Nancy Summitt, one of Midland's music teachers for the 2012/2013 school year. I'm excited to be on the faculty of Midland School District. This is my sixth year as a music teacher. I majored in Instrumental Music Education at Arkansas Tech University. I'm also certified to teach Vocal Music Education as well as Survey of Fine Arts. While my major instrument is French horn, I can also play violin and piano. I love music, and hope to inspire my students to love it, too.
Tim Morris: HS Choral Music, Kindergarten music, 5th - 6th grade music, Math intervention
Hi, my name is Tim Morris, the newest addition to the Midland Music Department. I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to help the music department grow and am excited to work with the choir. I will be helping with the band as we work toward exciting new possibilities within the music department. This is my third year as a music teacher. I majored in Vocal Music Education at Arkansas Tech University. I recently completed my Masters in Education at Lindenwood University in Missouri. I am certified to teach Vocal and Instrumental Music. My main instrument is trumpet, but I have played french horn and saxophone as well. My two loves outside my family and faith are education and music. I am a lifetime learner and wish to influence my students to love music and have a thirst for knowledge that cannot be quenched.
