I graduated from Bald Knob High School in 1984. I attended Arkansas Tech University and received my Bachelor in Science Education in 1989. In 2002, I completed my Master's in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University and my Specialist in Educational Leadership in 2008 at Harding University. I am in my 26th year of education.
I have a Specialist Degree from Harding University in Eductional Leadership.
I am certified in several areas including District Level and Building Level administration, Physical Science, General Science, P.E. and Health, and Coaching.
I have received a completion from the ACEL Principal Leader to Leader Institute.
I attend multiple conferences to grow in my profession as an administrator.
I began teaching and coaching in 1989 in the Marked Tree School District. I coached at all levels and taught health to 7th and 9th grade students. Twenty-five years later, I am beginning a new career as a District Superintendent at Midland. I am excited for this opportunity to work in a community that is so supportive of their school. I look forward to working with the staff in making a difference in our students lives.
I have eleven years experience as an administrator either as an assitant principal or building principal. I have worked with all secondary age groups as an administrator. The past four years, I was the building principal at Bigelow High School in the East End School District. In preparing for a job as the superintendent of a school, I have had the pleasure to work under many superintendents that I stay in contact with today. Our job is about students and that is my focus as I transition to my new role.
I am blessed to be married to a wonderful lady, Debbie. She too is in education as an administrator. She is an elementary principal. We have two daughters who are married to great guys. Our biggest blessings are our six grandchildren. They range in age from 4 years to 13 years old.
I enjoy multiple things when I am not in school. The most important thing I like to do is spend time with my family.
