I am a PROUD graduate of Midland High School. I attended college at Harding University. In December of 2000, I graduated from Harding University.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach 1st grade through 6th grade, and I also have an endorsement to teach Middle School Social Studies. Also, in 2005, I graduated from Harding University with a Masters degree in the Art of Teaching.
I am trained in Literacy Lab, Step-Up-to Writing, and MAX strategies.
This is my third year to teach at Midland. I teach third grade. It is such a blessing to teach in the same district that I attended as a student. The Midland family is so supportive.
I began my teaching career at Pangburn Middle School. I taught 6th grade Literacy and Social Studies from 2001 until 2015. I am thankful for the opportunity to work there and the experience and training that I gained while I was there.
I am married to Tony, and we have one daughter, Taryn. Taryn attends Midland. She absolutely loves school! We also have a cat, Tom.
I have several hobbies. I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, bow fishing with Tony, and attending church activities. I am a Christian and an active member of Floral Baptist Church.
